K-Pop Review: Heo Young Saeng - The art of seduction

The first time I watched this video I was really creped out with the girl in this video. As she, during the entire video, does really scary and creepy things to poor Young Saeng. The video starts with her sitting in a room full of pictures of him (drawing another one), and so far I guess it could be called alright (I mean, she’s definitely and obsessed fan, but okay, I can see that it might not be completely insane), but once she excitedly starts to watch his music video for this song things starts to get creepy. She looks completely insane at some shots (I’m sure I seem crazy too when a group I love releases a new song, but this is a whole new level), and then at the 0.55 mark you start to notice something is really wrong, when she wakes up as sees him sitting in her bedroom, smiling at her. But okay, she might be daydreaming, or something. But then around the 1.30 mark you see him tied up, fighting to get free, and you realize: He’s been kidnapped! And then the rest of the video is like that, first you see what she thinks is happening, that they’re doing lovey dovey things together. And then you see what is really going on, him being tied up (and looking terrified, but who wouldn’t?) in the same place where they a minute ago were being all lovey dovey. And even in the end she has delusions about one of the cops who arrested her, and thinks its Young Saeng, and she acts as if they are taking photos together. C. R. E. E. P. Y.

But even thou the video is as it is, the song is really fun and really addictive, which is a big contrast, and almost makes the content of the video seem a bit funny. And what makes it even funnier is that the lyrics of the song match the video, thou the video is a bit more over the top than the lyrics, but they do match.

This is the type of song that you will hum and sing constantly once you’ve heard it, which in the end can be a bit annoying, but it’s also the type of song that you don’t really grow tired of, even thou there of course are days when this sort of song just isn’t right. But this is a song that will stick with me for a long, long time.

The same goes for the dance as for the song; it’s really fun to watch, and even thou it doesn’t seem too complicated it isn’t simple enough to be boring, and there is always a lot going on at the screen with either all of them dancing in sync, or the background dancers doing something funny-looking.

So all in all, this song is AMAZING, thou the video is a bit creepy, but it’s not too bad, and it’s a song that it’s hard to grow tired of. Now watch it and find out what you think yourselves.
