This weeks song is an anime opening cover that I found only a couple of days ago, but I am obsessed. The original song is amazing, but this cover is even better. He voice is incredible and the translated lyrics are on point with the anime, honestly, listening to the original feels kid of wierd after listening to this verion so many times by now... It's perfect.

Anime Review: Karneval

This anime was very different from what I had first thought, still just as amazing as I had believed, just very different. It’s an intriguing and colorful anime about friendship and hardships in a way I haven’t really seen before. It has a lot to offer, it’s funny, sad, cute, exciting and just a little bit scary. The only thing it doesn’t have is romance, and honestly I think it was for the best. It definitely didn’t need it, and it would probably have made the series quite awkward. But I still think this is a series you should check out, if you haven’t already, because like I said, it’s amazing!
*SPOILER ALERT*
The thing that probably threw me off a bit at first and when I realized this was not going to be anything like I had imagined was probably the fact that Nai is actually a small, cute and rare animal called Niji. That was just, well… yeah… But once I got used to that it was actually quite cute, especially since Gareki always end up thinking about him as that small animal in cute situations, like when he’s playing in the snow. It’s really super cute, and it’s also explains a lot about Nai’s choices of words and his actions. Like when he explained why he was searching for Karoku he uses the words “there were many red puddles” instead of “there was a lot of blood”, and things like that.
My favorite episode is probably the first or the last episode, because they were really amazing episodes, but all episodes was very good, all for their own reasons. But the first one was really amazing in how they made the Vaugra’s change, it looked so creepy, and it was also an amazing first episode full of action and drama, and it really made you look forward to the rest of the anime.
The last episode was amazing because of how funny and cute it was, and I also liked the way they ended it. It could be one of those endings where you have to figure the rest out for yourself, thou it certainly seemed like it would be a happy ending, but it was also very inviting for a second season (which I totally hope for!).
Something I find quite funny is the fact that I can’t really choose a favorite scene, I usually can, but there are so many good ones! But one scene that stood out to me was the goodbye scene in the last episode, it was just so funny and adorable! I loved the fact that they had all misunderstood and thought that Gareki was leaving for good, when he actually was just leaving because he wanted to study so that he could come back as a member of the Circus. And they were so cute, giving him stuffed animals that would remind him of them, and the one of the Niji, that Nai and Tsukumo had made together was, well, cute(?) in its own deformed way… But that entire scene was soooo cute and adorable, and I really, really, really hope that there will be a season two, and that they build it on that scene, so that it starts

Anime Review: Nyan Koi!
This anime is really funny and cute with Junpei’s attempts to get the girl (which always seems to end in tragedy), while at the same time fulfilling the wishes of cats and keeping it a secret from everyone around him. It’s a pretty typical romantic comedy, with every cliché in the book being a part of it, but with a twist: Cats. Lots and lots of cats. Thou, that’s probably why it didn’t feel boring, maybe a little predictable, but definitely not boring. It’s the type of anime that you would like to watch when you don’t really know what you want to watch, but you want to watch something. Or when you’re tired, but don’t feel like going to bed just yet.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Even thou this is a really funny and cute anime it’s far from perfect, and I guess you could easily feel like you’ve seen everything before, since its filled witch clichés. But that is also one of its many charms. And not to mention how cute all the cats are! Kya! Kawaii!
Anyway, this anime has a lot going for it, for a twelve episode anime, I mean, 100 cats! But I was still sure it was going to end with them, but no. Of course not. He didn’t get the girl yet, and the curse has not been lifted. But the ending was really surprising, and I was crying because I thought he would die! But then he didn’t, and I was like, YAY! And then it ended. And I was like, whaaat? No more? It ended there? No season 2? Weird… I really wish it could have been a bit longer, so that they could have finished it up. Now it just feels like it had a hastily thrown together ending due to budget cuts or something.
But it was so saaad! He turned into a cat, and was dying of allergies when Kaede showed up, and then she hugged his kitty self, not knowing that it was him, and she was like, thank you Junpei. Thanks to you cats like me! And he was like, I can die happily now… I was sooo sad! (Thou, the scene only lasted a couple of minutes.) And then she was like, he really care a lot about cats, there is no way the curse can be real! He’s just a very caring person! And then there was this bright light, and boom! Curse back to normal, and he’s standing naked in the bushes. And I was like, what just happened? He was seeing angels (kitty angels), and then swoosh! He’s human again! And there is no what so ever sign he was dying, literally, a second ago… What? And then his friends show up and start

Anime Review: Pandora Hearts

This anime is amazing in so many ways, and its haunting, dark “Alice in Wonderland” theme is really well made. Many of the popular characters from the original story are there, but not in the way you might have imagined. And sometimes they are close to unrecognizable, but the Rabbit, the Mad Hatter

*SPOILER ALERT*
This anime is so good, and even thou it in ways reminds me about other anime that I’ve seen it doesn’t irritate me, or feel old for that matter. There are just so many things to like about it. First of all: Holy crap

Another thing to like about this anime is that even thou it has a familiar feel with its Alice in Wonderland inspired story, it’s far from enough to feel as if you are watching a remake of the story. It just enough to make you feel comfortable with the creepiness of the monsters and some characters, and the creepy setting in the Abyss, but then again, not enough to not be completely creped out when they say “A yummy smelling human” over and over and over again as they try to make a meal out of Oz. And honestly, any doll that moves, talks, or in any way suggest it’s alive creeps me out!
The only downsides with this anime is that it gave you ideas on how it was going to end already in the first couple of episodes, since it (especially in the beginning) reminds you quite a lot about two other anime, where in one the main character dies in the end, and I pretty much immediately thought that Oz was going to die in the end of the anime. Why I thought that is the contract between Alice and Oz, everything around him becoming her contractor just reminded me so strongly about Black Butler I was convinced for half of the anime that in the end Oz was going to die due to that contract. Thou that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Then we have the fact that many of the characters and how they interact with each other, the clothing, the secret organization Pandora, and so on and so on, reminded me very much of D.Gray-Man, and as it seems right now, the ending in that one is not going to be a happy one, thou you never know. Anyway, that had me thinking that it was going to be a much darker anime than it actually was. No sad moments of character deaths (or close to death) so far, and honestly I hope there won’t be. I love those guys, it would be so sad to see them go.
There is a third anime that Pandora Hearts remind me of, thou that has nothing to do with the plot. Just how fantastically AMAZING the soundtrack is. It’s perfect for every scene, highlighting every moment, bringing out its maximum potential without ever taking anything from the plot, and that reminded me a lot about Tsubasa Chronicles, which has one of the best soundtracks out there, or that's at leat my oppinion.
Now I just have one last thing to say. WHY wasn’t this longer? And WHY didn’t they finish it up?! I wanted to know how it ended! Not this mid-story ending! None of the IMPORTANT questions was answered!! How could they end it like that!!! I want a season two!!! What will happen!! I want to know! Now!

Anime Review: Tenshi Kinryouku
Setsuna Mudou is a high school student who loves his sister in a way he shouldn’t, and he also has another problem. Angels and demons appear around him, telling him that his awakening is near - he is the angel Alexis, reborn.
This anime was quite bad actually. It had a lot of potential, but I think it shows through way to much that this is an OVA that is supposed to make people want to read the manga, and it feels as if there wasn’t a lot of effort put into it.
I watched this with dubs (for some stupid reason), and they were some of the worst dubs I’ve seen. I mean, I honestly have watched better fake dubs, and that says a lot, thou the short part I watched in Japanese was kind of good. But that does not change the fact that the storyline for the OVA wasn’t very well thought through, for a 3 episode OVA there should have been less things happening, and more focus on conveying emotions to the viewers, not full action, blood, gore, and forbidden love. It made every episode feel twice as long as they actually were, and that most definitely didn’t put me in the mode to want to read the manga.
The only redeeming point about this OVA is that the end is sort of well made, and it makes you wonder just a little bit: What happens now? Not enough to actually start reading the manga immediately after you watched the anime, or actually, at all.
It’s really a shame that the OVA was so poorly made, because the story itself has a lot of potential, and I might end up reading the manga, just to find out if it was bad originally (which I honestly doubt), or if it’s just the OVA.

Anime Review: Yumerio Pâtissière

Even though she has a hard time adjusting to her new school, she soon gain confidence in her dream to become a pâtissière with some help of the Sweets Spirits and three boys commonly known as the Sweets Princes.
I really enjoyed watching this anime, thou, I don’t really have any reason for feeling that way. It’s definitely the type of story that you’ve seen before, and everything about it is very cliché. And yet, it is such an amazing anime that my only complaints are that it’s too short, and the SUPER ANNOYING laugh that sounds like a seal or something!! Well, and possibly the annoying character attached to that laugh…
*SPOLIER ALERT*
Season 1 of the anime really close to absolutely perfect, the only thing that bugged me was the sudden “I like you, and you like me, but we won’t say it” thing in the end between Makoto and Ichigo. But except for that, season one was perfect, and honestly, for a season with 50 episodes the pace was just perfect. But once season 2 began there were a few more things I would have wanted from the story. First of all; MORE EPISODES!!!! Why is it only 13 episodes??? This season could definitely have used at least half as many episodes as season one, because the story moves a bit too fast for my liking. And WHY are there so many episodes wasted in New York? Sure that part is important for the story, but not important enough to waste half of the season on! They needed more time before they went, that part was really messy, and cut short, though, you didn’t really notice that until the anime was over, but still, when they got back home they directly got pulled into that bet, and then it was over… *Sigh*
Another thing that I didn’t like about season 2 was the fact that there were 2 annoying characters who were way to obsessed with the main characters (one was a thousand times worse than the other, thou), it honestly was enough with one. And the most annoying part about it was that I thought that Johnny was going to be on the main characters side, and then he turned around and was on Miya’s side. Yes, they are cousins, but he seemed to be more reasonable than that…
But I really loved the ending. When Makoto confessed that he always wanted Ichigo by his side was just so cute!! Well, that was until they got harassed by the two maniac cousins who really can’t seem to get that they lost, and that neither Makoto nor Ichigo wants anything to do with them. But Makoto’s reaction was quite funny (you thought that maybe finally they would get it, but no), the faces of Miya and Johnny when the suddenly “disappeared” (aka fell into the bushes) was hilarious. I just feel so sorry for Ichigo and Makoto, they will have Johnny and Miya disturbing their relationship until they finally get it through their thick heads that Ichigo and Makoto doesn’t want ANYTHING to do with them. And honestly, I doubt they would get it even if Makoto and Ichigo got married. But hopefully they will one day have a peaceful life, or maybe the two airhead cousins actually will make them closer and their relationship better, since they constantly will be facing troublesome things together that Miya and Johnny will create.
But I have just one final complaint; Why wasn’t Satsuki in season 2 more? I really missed his ginormous ego! *Pout* I so hope there will be a season 3 (or at least a special episode or an OVA) out sometime in a not to faraway future, that would definitely be awesome!

Anime Review: Fruits Basket

However, living with these three prove to be a lot more complicated than Tohru ever could have imagined, seeing as the Sohma family holds an ancient curse; If their bodies are under

Fruits Basket is a really cute and funny anime with a really deep message, and it will definitely have you thinking about how you treat the people around you. The message of this anime is conveyed quite well, especially if you listen to all the wise things her mother has to say. And although the story might seem a bit cliché, it doesn’t feel that way when you watch it.
*SPOILER ALERT*
One of my absolute favorite episodes is episode 6, “Invincible Friendship”. Where Tohru invites her best friends Arisa Uotani and Saki Hanajima to the house where she lives with the Sohmas. And NOTHING seems to go right for Tohru in that episode; Time and time again she accidently turn the Sohmas into their respective animal, thou she, with the help of the 3, manages to cover up the sudden disappearance of the boys and sudden appearance of the animals. This episode had me laughing so hard I cried, honestly, it was EPIC. Probably one of the best episodes in anime history, thou, I have no idea how her two friends didn’t figure it out in the end, but it’s a good thing they didn’t, since then the story would have had to end the series there, and that would have been so sad.
And even thou episode 6 is amazing, so is most parts of the anime. All the characters are so cute and funny you can hardly believe it. You laugh, you cry. It’s for some reason a very captivating anime, even thou this generally isn’t my favorite type of anime, since very few things happen, and there isn’t much action anywhere. It’s a very peaceful anime - which usually get quite boring – but this one has something… special. Something I can’t really put my finger on, but it’s definitely there.
I think the one and only part about this anime that I don’t like is the end-thingy, where Kyo turns into the cats “original form”. I think it’s a bit too much, and why the F is it only the cat who has such a scary form and not the other 12? Because he’s and outcast of the zodiacs? That’s just not right, thou, without it, I guess, the end might not have been as good as it was, with her making Akito become a bit more friendly, well, that’s what it seems like at least. Not enough screen time after that to be sure. And I really like how they seem to become more like a family after that than before. Shigure looks so relieved when she comes back with Kyo and Yuki. Thou, once again there is something that I don’t understand. Why did she freak out like she did? It was so out of character for Tohru. I mean, I get that she got scared when Kyo transformed like that, but her freaking out and saying that she couldn’t go back to the house and that she didn’t belong there seemed so wrong. It would have been more like her to be worried about Kyo’s feelings or what not. She knew all along that they were different, so why did the fact that Kyo had a scary second form change her mind so much? That seemed to be ONLY so that the creators of the anime could bend the story the way they wanted to, even thou it didn’t really fit with the rest.
But everything except from that was amazing, and all the characters are so CUTE and ADORABLE, they will not fail in making you laugh.

Anime Review: Guilty Crown

The story revolves around Shu Ouma, a pretty regular High School student with low self-esteem, who by chance meets Inori Yuzuriha, a popular singer from the internet

Guilty Crown is partially a great story, but partially… not so good. It had me laughing, feeling all awkward, wanting to know what’s next

*SPOILER ALERT*
The creators of Guilty Crown really took a lot of risks. Sometimes it worked out just fine, and other times it all came crashing down.
The anime begins really well, and the first 13 episodes or so were fantastic, I don’t think they could have been done any better. And the music… I LOVE IT. Inori’s songs are so beautiful! They are kind of perfect! But then something that never ends well in an anime. A “mid-ending”. The story felt almost done after 13 episodes, and quite honestly, with a minute or two more in that episode, and it could have been one of those rare “perfect endings”. But no. Then they go and ruin EVERYTHING that they’ve built so far.
The part where they get stuck inside their school and the entire Shu’s kingdom thingy was just awful. And those few episodes ruined SO much. I just wish they had done that whole part differently, because it was the make or break point of the anime, and quite frankly, it got crushed. The revival of Gai, and the retry to awake Mana (thou that part wasn’t extremely bad, just the beginning of it), the way EVERYTHING seemed to be falling apart, and I get that Shu got upset when Hare died, but honestly, he got more upset than like every time that Inori got hurt or abducted and what not, and he LOVED her!! Hare was his friend, but HONESTLY!!! And what’s with the “she was the only one who believed in me!?!? Inori did too, and we ALL knew it!! And how could he treat Souta like that, and then NOT be completely HATED by him!! He was going to let him drown for god’s sake!! And then they make up and become good friends again!?!? SO CONFUSING!!! And one more thing, HOW THE HECK DID THAT DARYL GUY GET OUT OF THERE!?!?!? I DON’T GET IT!!! AAARGH!! *Pulling hair* So many things went wrong in those episodes…
But they actually made a really good attempt to redeem the story in the last few episodes, from the point where he got his void powers back and first used his “Void”. That was extremely well done, and the end fight was really well done as well, with just one point. If now Gai is supposed to be the bad guy, DON’T make him the good guy in the very end. That is just confusing and frustrating!! I cried when Gai died the first time, then they made him the bad guy, which just made me angry, and the he was actually a good guy all along?? Well, in his own weird way that is. And one more thing, why the heck is Mana so clingy to Shu? I get that she loved (???) him, but he rejected her quite frankly and brutally TWICE, and yet she thinks he’s going to be with her forever? And then she gets all angry about that he rejected her again? How could she not see that one coming?
The scene where Inori and Shu are dying together is so beautifully done, and it really conveys the love between the two to the viewer really well, it had me on the verge of tears (well, practically crying, but I tried not too). And I love the fact that Inori saved him in the end, but that Shu didn’t come out of it unscathed, and that he lost his sight as a result, which is something rarely ever seen in anime (at least from what I’ve seen). Usually the character who survives is unharmed in the sense that all the physical injuries heal in a rather short time span and then they spend the rest of their time, as far as we know, to mourn the person that they lost. And blah, blah, blah, we’ve all heard it before. But in this case he is left without his sight and with a metal arm (since it got cut off by Gai), and the only thing he has to remember Inori by is her music. It’s for some reason sadder that way, and at the same time the way that he feels like she is right next

Anime Review: Ghost Hunt
The story revolves around Mai Taniyama, a normal high school student who likes to stay behind after classes and tell ghost stories with her friends. One day a mysterious guy appears, Kazuya Shibuya, asking them about an old abandoned school building. And when she accidently injures his assistant she gets pulled into a scary ghost hunting adventure, which eventually leads to a permanent job as an assistant for Shibuya Psychic Research center (SPR for short).
Ghost Hunt is just... Amazing! Half of the time it'll have you pinned to your seat in fear and the other half you'll be laughing more that you have ever laughed before! But it's not something for the fainthearted, and I found that out the hard way...
It's now time to say goodbye to all of you who has been even slightly considering to watch this anime, cause I really recommend you to watch it, thou it's not particularly long (only 25 episodes), but please don't ruin an amazing anime before watching it, just go watch it, okay?
*SPOILER ALERT* and don't say I didn't warn you...
I thought I should clarify this beforehand, just so you know what I’m talking about. Otherwise it might become very confusing for all of you who are reading this but haven’t watched the series, and probably many of you who have watched it as well.
The anime is sort of divided into 6, 7 or 8 parts, depending on how you want to count, but I usually count 6, meaning the bigger and longer "chapters" or cases. Then there are two small cases, more like filler ones, one is one episode long and one is two, and you could count them as two parts, one filler part or just as a break between the two scariest parts of the entire anime.
I totally love all the parts of this Anime, either because of the comedy in them, or that you start

Part 1 and part 5 are probably my favorite parts, if I had to choose. Part 1 because it’s the first case, and you get to know all the important characters in this part (not Lin thou, since he’s in the hospital almost the entire part…), and it’s also probably one of the funniest parts. Even thou it is perfectly creepy and scary for introducing a horror anime this good, there is some comedy woven into it with all its mismatching characters, but it doesn’t take away anything from the scariness of the plot.
I love part 5 because of its absolute creepiness, and there is no getting around the fact that this part was the scariest one of them all, even thou it didn't appear to be in the beginning, and it pretty much had me holding my breath the entire time I watched it (the second and third time as well…). It has a weird eerie feeling from beginning to end, from the moment they stepped into that creepy house you just couldn’t relax. And that house itself would probably be enough to freak anyone out, and what’s going on in there is just… Ugh, it sends shrills down my spine just thinking about it.
The part I liked the least was definitely part 6, and I was seriously disappointed by that one. In the previous parts the cases had become freakier and freakier (not counting the fillers/mini parts), so I was really looking forward to seeing how they were going to top part 5, which were amazing. And in comes ----- zombies? Seriously? There were rotting corpses attacking them (thou, there zombies wasn’t the brain eating kind, but still, they were zombies). Yes, the part was sick and twisted, but it wasn’t scary at all. If it hadn’t followed the amazing part 5, and if it hadn’t been the last part of the anime, I think this part could have been kind of good. And I also don’t think they shouldn't have introduced it the way they did, it made you believe it would be much better than it actually was. But it was good in the sense that you get to know Ayako a bit better, and she finally gets to be a deciding factor in a case. And you also get to know the mysterious Naru and Lin a bit better, and Naru’s feelings towards Mai starts

Another minus is that it ends in the middle of, like, everything. Part 6 ends and that’s it. No ending AT ALL, and it’s just when you start

And I’ll tell you again, this anime is probably as close to perfect as you could ever come, it's intriguing, scary and you'll be on the edge of your seat pretty much the entire time, and then there is the bits and pieces of comedy and drama that shines through at times, and have you laughing so hard you can hardly believe that you just a couple of seconds ago was so scared you thought your heart would jump out of your chest and that you were fighting the reflex to scream! It is so amazing!
