K-Pop Review: Block B - Be the Light

They’re back. They really are back. I kind of have a hard time believing it, and I’m kind of dysfunctional right now, but here goes.

This is a really good Block B song; it has pretty vocals and amazing rap. Something I noticed very quickly about the song, or more like, about the members, are how much they have improved their skills. Especially Zico and his singing, he was a good singer in Movie’s Over, but he’s even better now. And also Kyung, he was lisping a bit, or something, before, but he doesn’t anymore.

Anywayy… This song might actually forever be my favorite song by these guys. Not only is it an amazing song, it also means so much to me. I had no idea about how much I missed these guys, I didn’t even think it was possible to miss them this much. But it obviously was. And this is the song they came back with, so it kind of means way more to me than it should. And I guess that’s kind of funny, seeing as I not too long ago said to a friend of mine that I hoped that they wouldn’t come back with a ballad. But they did, and I loved it. Now I think it was a really good choice, but before I heard this song I really hoped for something more like Nillili Mambo or Nanrina. Something upbeat and fun. But this song is just… to good for words.

My favorite part of the song is definitely Zico and Kyung’s rap, it’s just so… so… so… pretty, perfect, gorgeous.

The video was really good, I loved it a lot. Thou, I had a hard time figuring out the plot. And I’m still not sure of what’s really happening. But I think the girl belongs to one gang, and U-Kwon to another, and since he loves her he gets beat up. Or something like that.

What do you people think about the song and video? Did you also hope for something different for their return? And what do you think the video’s plot is about?
